LSx Engine X-members for the 4wds, 67-72 and 73-91

Pacific Fabrication is proud to offer our LSx-members. When swapping in an LS engine you often run into issues with the stock 4wd engine x-member. Our x-members take care of those issues.

The 67-72 4wd x-member comes with motor mounts and adapter plates to bolt to the block. It replaces everything between the rails. It is meant for the end user to be able to set the location of the engine. Stock, forward, back, whatever you decide. It sells for $399, complete with hardware. Additional $60 for poly motor mounts.

The 73-91 4wd x-member bolts to the stock motor mount towers, just replacing the x-member. It it 2 pieces that bolt together allowing it to be installed with the engine already in place. Or removed to facilitate removal of the oil pan. It sells for $299, complete with hardware. Motor mounts not included.

(I need to find my better pictures of this kit)

To order please give us a call, 408-250-1772

We do not currently have a specific kit for those years. I have sold a 67-72 to someone who was going to try it in a 60-66 truck. I never heard back from him on if it fit or if he had to do a bunch of work to get it to work for him. I would almost think that it would work. Can you grab the width of the inside of the frame and the height on the inside of the C in the frame where the stock on is? Those are the only things that come to mind if it would work or not.

I did put the 64 eng mount crossmember in. no problem. if you are going to use an a/t in the 63-6 4 x 4 chassis it would be recommended that you install a c/member as such as you are going to remove the one at the bell housing and that frame needs support in that area then
