I think the check clip has too much "patina". See how much of that rust will come off with CLR and then post the results.

Re: Thinking about a sex change!!!.....er sexty seven change

Please don/t do it, I love those front ends, and four eyes are way better then two... chevy's are becoming a dime a dozen these days but the GMC's are still unique

well, its not that much work to swap clips, put it on give it a shot. That is coming from someone who has a 68 GMC and a extra 68 chev clip as well.

Re: Thinking about a sex change!!!.....er sexty seven change

off topic I know.. but I gotta ask..
how is rust on "some cars/trucks" panita and others it makes it a p.o.s. rust bucket.. in need of a paint job..
not try'n to start a war. just ask'n as I've had faded paint worn through on the top cars for 20+ years and they've always been called sh__ boxes at shows, or nice car when you gonna paint it..

Re: Thinking about a sex change!!!.....er sexty seven change

rene if you do you are going to have to "trim" sancho.... the fornt end has holes for trim and you wouldnt want three primer spots on each fender for trim would you? keep him a GMC! plus the chevy grill is dented.

Re: Thinking about a sex change!!!.....er sexty seven change

I was thinking of going the other way with mine. My newborn son's initials are GMC (Not intentional), and I thought it would be cool if I still had the truck 16 years from now, to switch my chevy front clip to a GMC front clip. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

Re: Thinking about a sex change!!!.....er sexty seven change

I have never been a huge fan of the GMC front end, although 67-68 are by far the best looking of all the years. That being said your truck has pretty much changed my mind. When I finally get my burb, It will have a 67-68 GMC front clip on it.
Please don't swap

I wouldn't do it. All you would need is the grill and core support anyway. It will still say GMC on the tailgate
