What color to bedline my top?

I am getting ready to freshen up my hard top for the 72 Jimmy. I am going to spray it with Als Liner and am looking for opinions. I am going to be selling this shortly, So the "go with what color you like best" isnt gonna work. I have it narrowed down to 3 options, Gloss black, White, Or color match to the body.

Here is a pic of what I am working with.

Re: What color to bedline my top?

Can a mod move this to the pickups board? It will get more traffic there.

A white top would be my choice with that color.

Re: What color to bedline my top?

Matte black would be my choice, but since that isn't in your options, I'd go with white.

Black. Here's one on ebay right now that's sprayed with raptor liner that would look similar to yours.

I think this just sealed the deal. I do have some flattening agent for the als liner so I do have that option.

I got to reading more about the white and it looks like they have a hard time keeping it from turning yellow. How is yours holding up? How much did it take to spray the outside?

Re: What color to bedline my top?

I used a full kit. I did mine in early spring and the blazer is garage kept so I haven't had any problems yellowing. On the advise of the local Chevy body shop I used a tint that they use in their Line X bed liners. According to them they have not had any upset customers with a yellowing problem. If you talk to a Als liner rep you will have to use a high grade tint which I did, $99 for a quart, which you only need about 16 oz, I will check exact amounts and tint type If you dicide to go with the white, good luck deciding.

Re: What color to bedline my top?

I think white tops look the best, but if the truck still has the original SPID I would go with the color specified since you are planning to sell it.

Re: What color to bedline my top?

I also believe white tops look the best. Really makes any body color stand out and be noticed with a much classier look. If you are going to resell, white would be a better "eye catcher". They also keep the cabin cooler.

Black is,,,,"okay". Not my first choice though. Bakes you in the summer time here in AZ.

If you wanted to be different, body color top would be neat, but that's alot of red.

Re: What color to bedline my top?

Top looks great. Did it add a noticable amount of weight to the top? I would guess it would probably only be 5-10 pounds, but just wondering if you could tell the difference.

Re: What color to bedline my top?

I did not notice any wieght difference, the thing already wieghs a ton! The als liner kits only wiegh about 10lbs a box so 20lbs more i would guess. I did notice it seemed to help with the road noise though.
