firewall differences

I allready know the differences between an ac firewall and a non ac firewall but whats the difference between a 67 drivers side of the firewall and a 1970 cuz I noticed on my 1967 and my 1970 donor firewall the holes are a lil different would i have to swap the drivers side of the firewall or not?

Re: firewall differences

1967 fire walls are completely different from the 68 72.... the firewall was for a hand e brake and it wasnt opened up better for a big block to fit in there. the 67 68 fire wal on the driers side is the same. they both use hand e brakes and no the 69 72 foot e brakes. that is the differences.

Re: firewall differences

e brake mounting is different and so is the location of the fuse box. on a 67 the corner of the engine pocket on the heater/ AC side has a indent at the bottom and 68-72 are smoothed out. I believe this was changed in 68 to accomodate the introduction of the big block.

Re: firewall differences

Here's the difference:

The one on the left is a 69 and the one on right is a 67/68.

If you need the 67 style shown, PM me.
