you can unbolt not all the way the latch part on the cab and move it as closes as you can then tighten the bolts back up and give it a shot and you can do the same withe the hinges but be careful the door might get out of eliminate. and if that does not work all i can think of is new whether striping.

How does the door line up with the other body panels? If it lines up well you probably need new weather stripping.

Re: my doors wont close tight against the weather seal

I just replaced mine around 2 weeks ago or so. I got the door seals from LMC. This is the second set I have bought from them. I am painting my interior, that is why I am replacing. I have to slam the door really hard to get them to close. As I recall, this happened last time too. It takes awhile, I forgot how long, but eventually the seals will compress enough that slamming the door won't be necessary.

I've allready adjusted the striker plate as far out as I care to go so that the door outside still aligns with the cab.

So to answer your question, changing the doors seal can affect closing the door. You might try giving it some more time for the seals to compress or try adjusting the strikers out some. Yeah it can be a pain but with winter coming up soon, it is nice to have a sealed cab.

Good luck!

Use a good hair dryer to soften the rubber. Open and close it a bunch of times as you heat them up. They'll take a set quicker.

Mine close with a gentle pull, I had a horrible time getting them to shut easily after I painted the truck and installed new weatherstripping, the doors lined up nicely so I thought it was just the new weatherstripping, after two months of slamming the doors hoping the seals would break in it never happened, I got sick of it and moved the strike plate out a bit, that fixed it and the doors line up the same as they did before and seat nicely against the weatherstriping. I realized that the strike plate not only lines up the door edges but also adjusts the force needed to close them. You can move them out and still have the edges line up.
