89 GMC Scottsdale
On this project truck I picked up recently , 305 auto. is the auto a overdrive . there is no positon on the column for it. I thought htese all had the 700 tranny. it only seems to shift up to drive and thats it.
It has been ten years since I have worked on this model of truck and have forgot a lot about them. thanks |

Re: 89 GMC Scottsdale
the gear selctor has no overdrive position , as I stated before I could not remember what my 88 had on the selector but it was a 700R4. I had no issues with it , towed my car all over the place and the tranny held up well.
I got a peak under the truck last weekend and it looks to be a TH350. thanks for the referance photo. Al |
