belt squeel driving me nuts

I have the serpentine belt set on my 69 C10, it started out nice and quiet now it sounds like two cats killing each outher when I start it, I thought it was too tight so I loosed up the belts and it worse, they feel tight to me like I would adjust a single v-belt but squeel, I hate to use belt dressing that styuff is a mess on my new engine. Sould I tighten then up a bit more or could it be something else causing the squeel, I also can decide if its comming form the alt ot PS pump side.

is the p/s pulley align up if its off just a little it ride the grooves but sequel like crazy,do you have a tensioner pulley ? the bearing could be bad and squeal as well .take a stethoscope and listen for the sequel to pinpoint it down

Re: belt squeel driving me nuts

It appears to be lined up correctly, its the two belt system with no tensioner pulley from JIGS.

Re: belt squeel driving me nuts

So it looks like the alt billet mounting bracket and bolt bolt on the top it just a mm or 2 longer throwing the belt off just a tad, so I am going to remove it and shave it down to see if thats a fix or not.
