Re: automatic tilt column

I just trade a board member for it and heard it play in the truck. Thre is alittle static when you adjust the volume and some scratches on the buttons that need to be buffed out. The am/fm selector are sold on ebay for $7.50. I would like to also clarify that this is a true truck tilt and not one from a van.

Re: automatic tilt column

This is a true truck tilt. It would be hard to make a van tilt into a truck tilt if you look at pics you can see were the reverse/safety switch is mounted low not high like on a van. Also it has the short ended shaft that mounts to lower steering shaft. Thanks

Re: automatic tilt column

I restored it myself. I have done several Tilt columns before. This column is very nice and correct for 67 thru 72 chevy trucks. New to this site so I thought I would share the rest of my truck parts on this site as I have sold local and on ebay at 100% feed back. Many more parts to come I hope. Thanks DON

Re: automatic tilt column

Do you have an extra plastic piece with the wiring for inside the column by chance? My column has a bad soter or something for the right blinker/brake wire. thanks

Re: automatic tilt column

yeah, after I tear it apart, I will get you one. it is the piece below the blinker assembly inside the column. All of the column wires run into it. I will hopefully have it tore down tonight and I will snap a pic. thanks

Re: automatic tilt column

That is the turn and 4 way flasher switch. You can buy reproduction of that turn signal switch. Or would you like a orginal switch. Thanks

If you have one already out and ready to go, let me know a price. i'd rather buy off this board anyway. Any chance you can test the electrical connections? thanks
