Did GM build a cab forward pickup ?
I thought I had seen,, years ago, a cab forward Chevy pickup. The front looked like the old Chevy van, only it had an open area instead of the enclosed van in back.
IIRC it was mid to late 60's vintage. Anyone have any pics,, if they do exist ??? Thank You !! Tom |

Re: Did GM build a cab forward pickup ?
This site has no area for the Corvair trucks,El Caminos,Sedan Deliveries,Vans,StepVans/forward control,or anything over 1t. I guess any discussion would be found in the appropriate year of the vehicle.

Re: Did GM build a cab forward pickup ?
The larger trucks were also available in the CF versions but IIRC they ended in 66.

Re: Did GM build a cab forward pickup ?
These are all great pics guys !! I am getting quite an education !! Thank You !
I am going to be keeping my eyes open for one of these !! I have a few other projects in the works right now but it never hurts to be on the lookout !! Special K I don't know quite what to think about that snub nosed pickup,,, it's cool,it's ugly,it's cool,it's ugly,,,,, I could go either way. It would definately be a rather involved project . Definately do-able !!! The craftsmanship I have seen on here convinces me that anything is possible !!! Thanks for posting the pic !!! Makes me think !! Thank you all !! Tom |

Re: Did GM build a cab forward pickup ?
^ That's the one I was trying to find a picture of when I found the others I showed. Let me see if I have other pics. I think this is from Popular Mechanics showing how to build it...
