TBI to Vortec swap help.
Ok....background:
Have a 1994 3/4 ton that had a TBI 454 in it. Had a vortec 350 swapped in it. Along with that was the removal of the vortec intake setup. In its place came a very expensive Vortec intake made for TBI from GM. I plan on using the tbi setup from the big block. For the unit to mount i have an adapter that allows you to use the larger tbi. I will be going to the junk yard for brackets and other parts but that is it. Is there anything i need to change in terms of computer? Or will the older one work? I do have a computer for a 1991 tbi 350 but am not sure on that one either. What do I need? The layout of the new intake is quite different from the regular tbi setups.....can someone tell me what goes where? |

You need the vortec 350 wiring harness and computer too.

I would compare stock hp on tbi 454 vs stock vortec 350 to see if the 454 computer would be enough for the vortec headed tbi 350.
Is the vortec 350 stock (96-98 factory stock)? |

The larger injectors from the 454 TBI will be a good starting point... Anything past that is going to be trial and error
