Look what I found

I was working in the Okla Panhandle friday when I came across this. The owner was standing by it so I stopped to talk and look. Upon close inspection one discovers it is not your tipical '66 C10. Just proves what I've always said, "With enough money, welder, and a big hammer one can do anything."

The owner started with a '66 LNB and a 78 Buick. Removed the Buick body from the chassis, removed the C10 body and placed it on the buick chassis. He had to make some body mount changes, shorten the LNB, raise the bed floor, alter the side step, plus many other modifications. What he has done thus far looks good.

Put this in the back of your minds. He removed the stock heater and installed an AC unit from a '90 Mustang under the dash. Looks good.

The owner allowed me to take a few pics. Thought you guys would be interested.

Thanks for taking the time to get the shots and share the story. It's refreshing to see someone go a different path and end up with a nice result.

Re: Look what I found

you can see the perimeter frame in the wheelwell. I mulled this over and over with a 91 caprice and my burb. wheel base was dead on and I think it would be a good match. I gave in after storing the car in my driveway for two years though and sold it.
