So I've owned a few of these trucks, ranging from 88-93 onn every single one the wipers seemed very loud. I know this is typical but how or can I get rid of it? its driving me nuts.

not exactly acceptable for road trips, and with my system the headaches could kill. wanted to know if anyone put some sort of insulation around the motors?

Is it the motor that's too loud for you or the wipers chattering on the windshield?

I can't even hear my wiper motor, but my wipers are annoying as well. I've tried different brand wipers and what not. I think the curvature of the GMT400 windshields is the culprit for the noisy wipers.

I never have any noise from any of mine. Of course, all my windshields have about 20 coats of Rain-X on them.

its the motors, I want to rain x mine but my windshield is so cracked its not worth it.

Rain-X can help on even the worst of windshields. Trust me. It may not be optimal, but it can help.

I know... but I plan on getting it rplaced in the next month or so, when that happens it'll be rainx'd and use of my wipers will be minimal then.
