Door to cab seals stink

I got around to putting on the door to cab seals last night and they seem a little weak, from inside the cab looking out I cannot get the seals to cover where the original ones did. The ones I took off my cab originally were moulded to the cab and were pressed in -these are just generic glue in place weatherstippping?? I've called around and it seems like everybody has the same thing. anybody know if there are any NOS weatherstriping suppliers out there?? or know where to get moulded weatherstriping that can be pressed onto the cab opening? thanks

Something like this that can be pressed along the lip of door opening with the soft sponge material on the outside. are the 73-87 or 67-72 door to cab seals like this??

Go with Steele Rubber. They tend to be more expensive but that money gets you very good quality.

Re: Door to cab seals stink

Here’s a link to my experiences with door seals, for what they’re worth. I’ve had excellent results with Steele products in the past, but not with their door seals.

From what I’ve researched, it appears there is no manufacturer that produces exact match seals like the originals. I kept small pieces of my originals, and nothing on the market comes close to the same size and shape. The originals were also hollow which provided more flexibility and compression.

Re: Door to cab seals stink

since Steele is just down the road from me I drove over to check out what they offered, very helpful staff , although they did not have the quailty of the original they were alot better than the ones I purchased- most suppliers offer. the 1973-87 truck seals looked nice but the bulb part looked like it would be too big. we'll see how they work out
