Help with weather stripping - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

If anyone has the time and know how i need some help with weather stripping. I spent some time today trying to put the new stuff in my 67 c10 with the adhesive but i couldnt get it to sit right. if anyone can tell me the right way to do it and has some good pictures of how it should look all through the door jamb it would be great. thanks a lot.

I used blue painters tape to hold the weatherstrip in place while the 3M adhesive cured. Not sure if it's the proper way but it worked out good for me.

I worked top to bottom - lay it out and cut in near length but a little long.
I used chip clip clamps (the kind used to close potato chip bags) run a section clamp it and give it a chance to dry.
Make sure that you use good 3M sealant.
You can also use Binder clips that can be bought at an office supply store

I did the same thing as 68,except I used the cheapo clamps from HF.It takes it a while to set up.Less time when warm than cool.I use the Black 3M.

I tore pieces of blue tape and put them in place about every 3-4 inches, then just folded them over the rubber as I worked my way around the door opening.
