87 SWB lowered rear leafs recommend

Planning to lower my stock 87 SWB running 8" stock ralleys 3/4. I will be using spindles in front.
Western Chassis offers lowering leaf springs. Anyone with any experience using the lowering leaf springs and any disadvantages?

4" spring only drop might compromise cargo/hauling capacity (important for those who intend to use their truck as a truck).

Have you considered shackles & hangers? I think I'd do them for 4" of drop & stick w/the stock springs if you're ok w/the current ride quality.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I just got a set of these in yesterday as a matter of fact. Still waiting on the 2.5 spindles from them, they are on back order.

I will post up when I have them installed though!

Go with the shackle/hanger combo for 4". Same hauling capacity and cheaper too!
