custom seat brakets

I pulled my passenger bucket out to see how I could mount up the new buckets I bought at the swap meet. I need a low profile bracket. How can I get a custom sliding bracket for buckets made? The four bolts on the bucket are 12" front to back and 14 3/4" side to side. I need the bracket 2" or shorter. Having the brackets slide would be nice but not necessary I guess.
Any help would be much appreciated!

You're going to have to draft up a design with measurements and take it to a machine/fab shop to have done. That, or you can try and fab something yourself. Good luck on getting them to slide! Maybe you can use stock brackets and somehow mount your seats to those brackets and then you'd have the sliding feature.

Could you not chop down those Dodge seat mounts? Also are the sliders on your buckets anywhere near the same size as the Dodges?

I'll look and see if I can lop off about 7 inches from the Dodge mounts, that way I can use the built in belts and sell someone my black ones.
I tried to mate the old sliders to the new buckets, but it won't work. The Dodge seat brackets bolt in from the bottom, the old one bolt in from the top. Hard to describe, but the won't work. I'll see if I can cut down the Dodge brackets and flare the edge out to give me a mounting surface.

What about modifying the seat bottom to fit to the sliders that are there instead??

I'm pretty sure you could do what you're thinking and flare the sides.
BTW I'll take those black belts if you need to sell them.

If you are looking for some different seat tracks, I know the ones on the Toyota Xtra Cab buckes I have are short.

Izzy, I'll put you at the head of the line for the black belts if I pull them. Might put it as trade towards the project I pm'ed you about.
Chris, I'll have to look into those. If I use the Dodge belts I'll have to find the belt mounting where the belt goes through a loop in the cab corner. I've got the piece on the belt, just not where it mounts in the cab. Might have to hit the yards for both things.

2001 Tahoe seats have built in seatbelts and a center console. Should almost bolt right in from what I have heard and read. Just an idea for some of you other guys interested in newer seats. Im keeping my eyes open for some of these . Ohh yeah and they have a center console build in.

Oh yeah, I'd love to have a set of them. But good luck finding those at a salvage yard!!
