Sell the gas truck and buy a diesel truck, you will be money ahead.

second the sell/buy
but if you insist on the time/effort of a conversion go cummins you'll be glad you did and if ever decide to sell it'll pay off BIG Time

Re: 3/4T 454 to diesel conversion ?

I second the Cummins diesel option. A 12 valve only requires 3 wires to make it run. I have seen some pis's of 4 cylinder Cummins conversions also. The 6.5 is just not a very good engine in the first place and you will probably spend as much money on the 6.5 as you will 12 valve Cummins. There are kits available so it would not be as bad as you think. That is what I plan on doing to my truck in the future.
