Question Can i use a 70 model swaybay??on my 65 c-10

Ok this might have been asked before > But here goes. Can i use a sway bar
off an 70 model chevy truck On my 65 chevy short bed truck . I have all the mouning brackets from one post looks like i need to use the rivet spot under the core suport for mounting.
ie cut and remove the rivit .if i do this will the swaybar sit low on the truck??
using the 70 model bracket .. i have 70 model aframes on the truck with the mounting holes in the aframes.. or do i need to use the 60-66 style swaybar ??

ya you can! the brackets are all the same, too! the sway bars you can use from up to a 87 truck or 91 suburban!

and as far as it sitting low that depends how low your truck is! i have 2" drop springs and 2.5" drop spindles on mine and i got the lowered mounting brackets so the bar will be up high and tight to the frame! depending on how low your truck is you can mount the bushing bracket to the frame and do away with the riveted mounting bracket

Buy new bushings and mount the bar on the lower arms... raise the bar up to the frame and the holes should pretty much line up for those mounts. You may have to drill one hole per side but I didn't have to cut any rivets to mount mine.

I had to drill 2 holes to get mine mounted up using the stock brackets. My buddy has a square body and we mounted his bar via bushing directly to the frame. All he has are drop spindles
