Re: ebay radiators
Summit has aluminum ones for 145 if you feel safer.I just bought one made by northern that was called a 26 wide that fit into my 64 . It was a little short but easily made a bracket to fit.

Re: ebay radiators
I bought a 3 row for about $200, and it was 'decent'. I polished the top. Welds aren't "too bad", but I did noticed it was warped when I got it. So me and a buddy held it and shifted it back to a normal position. No leaks.
Definitely keeps the motor cool. No hotter than 170 with my Black Magic 3000cfm fan and my 383.

Re: ebay radiators
I just bought a campion, very happy with it, it would have cost me $ 380 to recore my original...

Re: ebay radiators
I used Champion on my 81 Malibu and my 65 442 with zero issues in 105 degree heat. I do recommend straight coolant for corrosion protection. They seem to be welded together by 11 year old Indonesian girls making $7 a month. Kinda rough, yet functional.

Re: ebay radiators
My buddy in Phoenix, AZ uses a Champion in his '64 (he AC and drives his truck all over), and it cools very efficiently. So much so, it convinced me to give it a try.

Re: ebay radiators
Just bought a 31Wx19H aluminum radiator from speedway motors for $119. I couldnt be happier with it. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I think it came to $134 with shipping. I figured a radiator that cheap was worth the gamble, I wont go any other way now.

Re: ebay radiators
I just ordered one myself. Should be there around the 2nd of Nov. Not like I need it right away but I will see if I can fit it to the truck. Now I can get rid of the crossflow radiator I bought a while back.

Re: ebay radiators
The 4-core champion I put into my 64 with a 350 cools very well even on socal desert temps over 100F.
I initially bought one of the generic summit rads but it was damaged when I bought it. So sent it back and got the Champion. Been in service for 6 months and I would recommend it.

Re: ebay radiators
I have about 6000 miles on my Champion in my 65. Cools the big 6 liter with no problems. Fans never come on unless the AC is on or I idle for 5 minutes.

Re: ebay radiators
Well i think ill try it. I was going to custom fit a cross flow. But its not worth time for 165 bucks for a bolt in new one

Re: ebay radiators
If you get the one with the integrated transmission cooler, I had to move passenger side lower saddle mount to clear the tank port.

Re: ebay radiators
I just bought a new copper/brass one locally for $220. I figure you will be at lease $40 dollars into shipping from an ebay seller, so you're not far off and you can easily return a local radiator if you need to. That's why I didn't go eBay with mine.
Just ask for the direct replacement radiator for your truck and year. It was much easier than I thought it would be to track one down.

Re: ebay radiators
I have the 3 row in Texas, with electric fans and it stays cool even in the summer with AC on, stop and go traffic too. Call them and ask them, but my guess would be the 2 row.

Re: ebay radiators
And how did you hook up your sensor to turn the fan on and off?
