I hate being 15

I am only a month away from my permit and find this gem.

I really wish I could drive down there to save it.http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/d...654039764.html

My bud and I could get this running in 2 days i bet.

Re: I hate being 15

Be patient. One of these days you'll be my age and wish you were young again. Well, maybe not 15 but under at least under 30... on the other hand, after what I've been through, I don't know if I'd want to do it all over again.

That is a pretty truck.

Re: I hate being 15

That truck looks decent, but there will be plenty of trucks in that price range in the near future. When I was 15, I had a '65 bel air that I raged around in the the fields behind our house till I killed it. On the age thing...you will want to be older til you hit 21, then you will envy the kids that only have to go to school instead of working their ass off. That goes away tho and when u get to be my age, u wont want to go back in time one minute...cuz you get a little smarter every day.

That's what I did when I was 12. I still can't drive.

It's all perspective -- I'd love to be 50 again!!

And yeah, I'd rather be looking down at a lawnmower than looking up at one!

To big bad orange: Before you know it, you'll be looking back at 15 and wondering where the years went. Enjoy every moment (responsibly of course). Good luck trying to get that truck.... and if you don't, just keep your eyes peeled. They are out there....

Re: I hate being 15

Sounds like this would be your "First" Truck to buy! Toss in fact that YOU have the bucks to buy one as well..oy the joy...then just relish the idea of being able to chose your first. Take your time and she will speak to you in a quiet whisper; and your answer will be...Yes!
Wait, we're talking about trucks right?

Re: I hate being 15

When I was 15 I bought my first 57 Chevy. We were fishing down at the slough and there was a nose of a car sticking out of the bushes. I got my dad to come look at it. We found the owner and he said he would sell. We negotiated the price down to 40 bucks =)

It was the first of many 57 Chevys I owned. Maybe you will be the same way with these trucks.

Dont hate being 15, trucks will come and go. Refer to Little Miss Sunshine van scene where grampa gives advice to a kid your age.

Re: I hate being 15

If you were my son and had the money, I would let you buy and work on it. It looks pretty good in the pics. My son bought his car when he was 15, got his permit and we would drive around in it every chance we had. P.S. I kept his keys with me so he wouldn't be tempted to drive solo.

Re: I hate being 15

Thanks guy, I just wish this month would go quicker. Only one month till I turn 16 (: I guess I will learn on my moms caddy (a division of gm). I was talking to my buddy And we decide we are trying to wait as long as possible to buy our trucks (he wants a cummins) and go below the rust belt. I never knew you can get a rust free truck for 2-3k down south, where up he that for a rusted out one. I hear a road trip coming this summer.

In the next 10 years you will make decisions that will have a permanent impact on the rest of your life. Don't screw up.

Drive the Caddy, learn something useful in school, and you'll have all the cherry C10's you want later on.
