LT1 & Radiators

I have a question for anyone that did a LT1 swap in their truck. I'm swapping a LT1/T56 into my 68 C10 & need to know if I can use a 67-72 4-row radiator with this setup? I'm aware that the LT1 has reverse flow cooling so wondering if this will have any impact on the radiator used?

You should be fine the reverse flow is eluding to the fact that the heads are cooled first instead of the block as in the earlier generations of smallblock motors, that helpthe motors make more power because the compression ratios could be raised without the fear of preignition or detonation or laborknock as some call it. Of course I could be wrong, and am remebering that from a dream I have had and not actual facts. If that is the case, someone else will help you outand let me know about it.

That's what I understood about the flow also but didn't know if the radiator was special because of that. I have the matching radiator from the car but thought it might look better with the one that goes in the truck.

I would use the car one. Much more efficient and the hose locations are different than the truck.

I am working on the same project...I believe the outlets for the waterpump are different than the 67-72 radiator. You would have to come up with a special radiator hose...correct me if I am wrong...

Outlets are the same Its the LSX series engines that have the passengerside upper hose location.

Stock replacement radiator will be fine. I got an all aluminum version off ebay for less than $200.

I have done the LT1 swap in my 1969 GMC. I was trying to figure out how I was going to route the plumbing myself. I had bought a new 4Core Radiator when I first got my truck cause the original was a shot 2core. I decided I would keep the 4core and picked up several hoses and hose splicers. I turned the neck of the water pump to face the opposite direction and routed the hoses to work as the radiator outlets are opposite from a Camaro, Firebird, or Corvette radiator. As long as you get the system bled correctly, you will have no issues with doing it the way I have.
But, to make it easier. I would recommend that you just buy a radiator that goes in one of these makes of vehicles and put it in. It will make your life easier, rather than figuring out the correct sized hoses that you need to use. Good luck.
