Re: 2wd blazer// florida craigs

If documented and real, that's a good price. Hell, I'd pay that as long as it's a real 2-wheel drive Blazer.
I'd say at least 85-90% of "factory" two-wheel drive Blazers and have Hot-rodded, so finding a clean original would be very good.
Hopefully whoever buys it keeps it clean.

Re: 2wd blazer// florida craigs

One of my buddies gave $6500 or so for an original Hugger Orange 71 a couple years ago. And had to trailer it because it didn't run.
Then fully restored it.

I don't really think this guys price is too out of line. If the bottom isn't rotted out.

And try and find one north of the Mason/dixon without it being rotted to hell.. I think that's rather cheap.

Wow... I wish I was in a different position in my life right now. I would be all over this, and probably should be regardless.

Re: 2wd blazer// florida craigs

If it was in Calif, and as good as it looks in the pics, I would buy it quick. The last 2wd survivor Blazer I saw on C/L here was priced right at 8K and was gone within several hours.

As an innocent bystander, I'm confused. I recently listed my 2wd 71 with a price/obo. It's no longer listed. I would have let it go cheap. Someone could have had a good deal.
Not a single inquiry.

Did you list it on this site? Didn't you buy luv2xclr8's old blazer 'Merlot'?

Re: 2wd blazer// florida craigs

When it comes to selling, I think it's all about timing. Earlier this summer I list my 65 long box. It was listed for almost 4wks, I got tired of all the irritating low all offers so I took it off. In the early fall I listed the identical ad, it sold in less than an hour. Good timing I guess.

Re: 2wd blazer// florida craigs

Okay guys... well my curiousity got the best of me and I contacted the seller earlier this week.

Here's his reponse to my inquiry:

yes there is some rust ....rockers both sides , I have a new driver side rocker.
lower tailgate...inside and out.
spots on hood..
spots on firewall..
spot under battery tray.

interior is not bad at all..original rubber mat in front and carpet in rear.
has factory roll bar...all original seats front and rear...even both ash trays for the rear seat.
I put a pair of leather van seats in the front .
I modified the seat rails to fit the stock seat hardware.
no extra holes in dash... uncut ..perfect glove box door also.
stock seat belts on all seats..
doors uncut ....I have never had the top off..
leaks a little at top of doors... but i have new door weatherstrip still in box.
I can take some pics tommorow and email you

I looked for about 2 years for a 2w/d blazer
I bought this blazer from original owner in 1978..
350 automatic power steering, power disc brakes front, drum rear.
1991 chevy truck rally wheels.(I put them on in 93)
under hood tool box..
3 row radiator..
2 into 1 exhaust... 2 in to 3 in to a 3 inch flowmaster.
I still have the protectoplate and original booklets with it
It is a very solid truck..

I also inquired about additional pictures of the blazer. After determing the condition the blazer, IMO, it is overpriced. Here's a link to the additional pictures:

Re: 2wd blazer// florida craigs

to the seller's credit, I think his ad and pictures were pretty straightforward.... described and showed it pretty well. Refreshing when I think about how many miles I've ridden to look at crap/rusty vehicles that people lied and said were "GREAT"......... hope the buyer AND seller were happy.
