Jack

Is the jack set up the same from a 1500 to a 3500? I've got a complete jack setup for sale on the parts board. It came from a 1500. Will it work on a 3500? Also, is there a difference in the 2 and 4 wheel drive jacks? Thanks.

Re: Jack

Yeah, I wasted a whole post on a joke! <sarcasm>

NO, I've never had a 1 ton. I know they're heavier. I know the frames are different. I know they're 8 lug rather than 5 or 6. I know they can haul more. I know they have heavier suspension. But I've never looked at the jack on one. I was just repeating the question that was asked to me because I didn't definitively (big word, look it up) know the answer. So, unless you've got a polite response. BUZZ OFF!

Re: Jack

You would think they be the same...Maybe the 4x4 jack might raise the truck higher, just a thought!

That's what I thought, too, but wanted to be sure before I gave him a definitive answer.

Re: Jack

If i remember correctly, a buddy of mines mom has a 1999 diesel 3/4 ton Suburban and we used the jack off it to jack up his '80 Z28 and looking at it, it had a rating of like 20 or 30 on it? I do remember that my jack for my '89 C1500 has a rating of 10 so I don't believe they are the same.

Might be better saying that its for a 1/2ton.
