.
Originals had real glass lenses.
.
I think they look kinda' cool!

Re: taillight mods. looking for ideas

I thought HHR taillights would look good. I see you sold a set a few years back. Did they not fit the stepside fender?

Mimic the front end and tunnel/french a set into the fenders; use Corvair or 'Vette buckets and lenses. Or, go the other way and pick up some early Fifties GM pickup tail light assy's and use them with some nice stainless braid loom.

Re: taillight mods. looking for ideas

I like your lights heeroy.

I did some sunk in bowties on mine. I fabricated them from 16 gauge sheetmetal.

First pic is just after I made them.
Second pic shows the 65 Impala tail lights truck had prior to these.
Third pic shows the finished product.

I have since added LED's to them.

Re: taillight mods. looking for ideas

The HHR taillights would require some angle changing to make them viewable. Im not that skilled and I didnt have a stepside up until last week
I was thinkin of using AD taillights too. I think theyre cool lookin.
any you guys got pictures of them on a 67-72?
