Re: 4L60E trans help!!!!!

The 4L60E tranny is basically a computer controlled 700 R4 tranny. They have a serious weak point and that is the valve body and it's seperator plate. It tends to get the holes where the little balls seat wallowed out and then it doesn't do what it is supposed to do. It can be repaired by replacing the seperator plate with a hardened one. I would also look at the governor and update it. I would have someone look at the tranny filter, flush the system and then check for pressures from the valve body. That should tell you something about your problem.

Re: 4L60E trans help!!!!!

So I did figure out it is in limp home mode but no CEL and basically change the valve body and solenoids as well as the wiring and it should hopefully come out of limp mode and flush out the trans?
