first time poster *here* looking for measurement

Hi guys, I've never posted on this section before since I have a 1959 Apache.
I recently started a modification on my truck envolving going full on flat bed. The frame is completed for the bed now I need to source out my tail lights. My bed frame is 2X4 sqr tubbing. So I only have room for something around 3 inches tall. I like the look of the 63 tail lights and think the would be great if I turned them on their side.
This brings me to my question. Can someone give me the outside demensions of the 62-63 tail lights encluding the trim rings?

Thanks in advance ya'll
Fredo San Diego CA

For reference, here's pics of my project.

I believe FFredo is asking about the '60-'66 fleetside tail lights.

I don't have any handy ATM, but I'm sure someone will chime in that can provide the measurements you are asking for.

Re: first time poster *here* looking for measurement

Thank you Fenders and Captfab.
Yes I'm looking for the info on teh 60-66 taillights. I'm wondering if they will fit my 2X4 frame. I saw a truck at the park the other day but felt wierd about whipping out a tape measure and just walking up to some ones truck.
Thanks in advance.

Re: first time poster *here* looking for measurement

3 1/4" X 6 1/2" inner hole

4" x 7 3/16" outer it will work with the tubing you are using

You might look at a big truck store, they have some lights (truck lights) that have a rubber grommett and a sealed unit that are along the same dimensions, they are also available as a back up light white

I could never find the exact dimensions but I believe they would work in the 2 x 4 rectangular tubing that you are using and they are water proof and sealed. Kieth

Yes, the oval 'Trucklites' will fit in a 2" x 4" rect tube. I agree, the sealed 'Trucklites' are darn good lights. You very seldom have problems with them when installed correctly. They are available in LED versions also.
