Paint color question

I found this truck in the crew cab pic thread and was wondering if anyone could tell me the name of the color of this truck. I'm thinking about using the same color on one of my projects. Thanks in advance.

Re: Paint color question

just a suggestion, unless you happen to run across the actual owner. or the painter of the same crew cab....who knows the name and Mfg of the paint, you are better off trying your local paint jobber. Photographs rarely capture the true color, combine that with differences in computer monitor gamuts and its next to impossible to recreate a color off a JPG image. Go look at the master color chip book at your local auto paint jobber.

Re: Paint color question

The crewcab in the picture appears to be an 80 .....there were 3 blues in 80-light blue metallic, nordic blue metallic and medium blue.

assuming the truck is original color I would say medium blue code 23

similar to this 79

Which is Hawaiian Blue/Deep Blue

Re: Paint color question

I agree, just go to your local paint store and take their books outside in the sun. It's much more accurate than trying to translate a color over a computer. Every manufacturer has a color similar to that- look through the mid-90's colors.
