aux battery charge or not ?

im kind of puzzled here

my aux battery wasnt getting a charge. id meter it and it would be a 12 or less with the truck running... i checked every thing, didnt find a thing. i did replace that relay under the aux box...

now it meters at 12.98 when the truck is running... the main battery is at 14.05 .... wtf? is this normal? i would thing both should be getting the same charge.

btw the new internal alternator kicks major ass! easy conversion

I would suspect that you have some resistance in your wiring. The factory wiring is a pretty long route if you look at it. I would start at the battery and check the voltage at the terminals on the right fender to see if you can narrow it down where you are loosing the voltage. It could even be the ground wires on the left
side, whch should be checked, also.

Another way would be to use an ohm meter to check across the terminations, both positive and negative.
