Question Which houndstooth interior should I use?

I'm going to get my seat reupolstered with a new houndstooth seat cover and I have the parchment (off white) around the sides and black and parchment(offwhite) hounstooth in the middle which is origional. just like Johnny P's truck, and I know they make one that has black on the sides and black and parchment (offwhite) houndstooth in the middle. My truck has a black dash pad, carpeting, and steering column and has parchment door panels, visors, headliner which is origional. The truck inside and outside is dark olivegreen. I'd like to change the door panels to black, but have heard aftermarket panels don't fit well. My first ? is ,If I dye the parchment panels black will they chip in the future and look terrible?2nd ? is,Which color houndstooth seat cover do you all think would look better if I keep the panels white or dye them black? Thanks everyone.
