saddle tank removal?
anyone know how to get them out? I'm looking under the truck and I can see 8 bolts holding the brackets, but I can't get to the nuts on the other side to hold them still!? I'd rather not pull the bed off, it's a 8 foot dually bed.
anyone know any tricks/ have a write-up? TIA -Eric

the nuts should not turn, spot welded to brackets, if they turn and u cant get a wrench in there then cut the heads of some how

hmmm, the brackets on my junkyard tank don't have nuts welded to them...

They are welded , they must have broke off your junkyard tank

Eric, sounds like at some point in time the tanks were replaced. GM factory tank supports (replacements) dont have the nuts welded on so they can be used on a wider range of trucks. When I did my restore I welded nuts to the new brackets beforehand.
