I finally finished what I started! Here is a full set of guages that I redid in white face. I can do a set for you for 150 plus shipping with your cluster. I can do any color as well as white and black. I will try to answer any questions as best as I can should you have any.

ARGGG! I just started doing that! (you stole my idea! j/k). I guess I will have to finish it, 'cause those look great! I was kinda thinking I'm going to do the needles in blue, or maybe the numbers/letters with blue. if you take a normal looking gauge and put it into photoshop or PSP, you can make it a negative image to see what I'm thinking of doing...

that looks super cool, I'm definitely going to finish mine (I've only painted the stamped steel piece that fits between the gauges and acrylic layer).

Nice job, very classy looking.

Where'd ya get the vacuum guage? I need one, got everthing else for cluster except the vacuum...antbody have one laying around?

hrmm, so the tach only goes to 5k.. no wonder people replace it..

I suppose I could do it in kilos. I would just need to know what numbers to replace the originals with. I could do a KPH on the bottom instead of MPH too.

Hi Vern,
I took the pics of my cluster installed. I hope the pics do justice to the awesome job you did for me. The blue led's I put in the cluster look so awesome at night. My friends are in awe when they see my cluster. I will email you the pics ASAP and I'm sending you an old cluster I had laying around. Your work comes highly recommended and I hope you all like my cluster.

I am not able to do indiglo at this time, but I think Sigurd has the right idea with blue led lights for that blueish look at night.

Iluvjunk I hope you have a way if implimenting something like that by the time it comes time to call on you for this work for my truck

but. if not.. www.jamstrait.com has 194 retrofit LED clusters.. so that might be something to try.. but as you know incandescents and LEDS have different properties of light angle.. so the LED might be so direc that you dont get enough light from it.

If you were able to put a black gauge backing and blue numbers along with blue LED bulbs, would you get a toned down version of that last picture?

I was kinda looking for something that is brighter at night than the stock gauges and that also looked like a modern gauge setup.

Hi guys,
The pic of my dash with the blue lights truely does not do it much justice. It looks so much better in real life. The guages look neon blue. It looks so awesome. Keep in mind, I asked Vern to paint the backing plate white instead of puke green which is the way it comes. Also, the bulbs I used are made by Jamstraight. That company makes the best led's bulbs I have seen. And I have seen a lot. Autozone sells the amber 194's which I used for the front marker lights. They do not sell the blue or red 194's. I had to find them on Ebay ( of course they had them ). The sellers user name is dpcomceo and the blue led's are not cheap. They are 10.00 a piece. Fortunatly, you only need four for the dash lights. Keep in mind, those bulbs have pularity and only go in one way and forget about using the dimmer switch, led's are either on of off. Also, they use alot less current, so all four have to be in place for them to work correctly. Led's are suppose to last forever, so at least I will never have to deal with them again. I bought the red 194's for the rear marker lights and they work great at only 5.00 a piece. They make the best red 1157's for the tail lights as well, they are truely bright and I picked those up at Autozone.

Back to the cluster. I had GMC Paul send that brand new cluster directly to ILUVJUNK. I talked to Vern on the phone and he explained the whole manufacturing process to me. I told him I was going with blue lights and to please paint the backing plate white. This I know helped a lot.

I had a lot of money into this with the brand new cluster. I never met Vern or seen his work in person so I had a lot riding on trust. He did an awesome job you guys. You will not be dissapointed.
