So in the snow Saturday, i had the wipers running in the truck to jump start one of our tractors. I left for a few minutes, when I came back the wipers had stopped running. Now, when I try and turn them on, all I hear is a high-pitched up, but the wipers don't do their thing. Does that sound like a motor gone bad, or something else?

I have heard more about problems with the wiper motor boards than with the wiper motors... That's where the problem was on a few that I have worked on.....

But I live in the south... we don't have snow....

Take it apart and have a look.... There are several threads on the internet about wiper board issues on these trucks...

i wanna say from what i read........88 is a ""88 only" unit. somehow different then the rest. do a search on here, and I'm sure you'll find it.

Derfinitely check out the circuit board. Alot of these trucks have had backyard guys throw a wiper motor in, only to find out it was the pulse board that went bad.
