Do you need just the R&P or do you need the carrier too.

Re: WTB 12 Bolt 2.76 ring and pinion

that would be great! Thank you. I will need something in good working order as I will be putting a fair amount of power through it, in addition to towing trailers.

Re: WTB 12 Bolt 2.76 ring and pinion

You do realize that a 2.76 gear is not a good gear for towing?

I will post the file later after work tonight that shows it will work great with the gear ratio's in the transmission that I am using.

Re: WTB 12 Bolt 2.76 ring and pinion

here is the excel file photos as just a reference to why I want the 2.76 it still has good take off with a 4.56 1st and is like having an overdrive with a 1.00 4th. I know in the pic it says 2.73 but it is close enough to not make only about a hundred rpm or less difference.

Re: WTB 12 Bolt 2.76 ring and pinion

What the heck transmission are you running?

I took a look at the gears. There are signs of some rust pitting at some time in it's life, But that apparently was some time ago singe the teeth are nice and clean now. I took a pic so you can see what I'm talking about.
The setup in this housing has very little backlash. It is a 2.76 gear with a 17 and 47 tooth count. I would like $50.00 plus shipping.

Re: WTB 12 Bolt 2.76 ring and pinion

Running a New Process 435 trans out of a 72 c20 that was bolted up to a 350. It is a direct bolt in with the L6 motors and from the sources I found it is rated at something like 300 ft lbs torque at 25000lbs so pretty much indestructible but not a speed shifter either. I am not good at telling whether gears are worn out or not. But I cant see the little bit of pitting going to hurt much.... so I will take it. PM sent.

Re: WTB 12 Bolt 2.76 ring and pinion

So you must be figuring on using 1st gear all the time then?

Yeah, I myself wouldn't worry about the little bit of pitting, I've run them like that without issue. I just wanted you to know exactly what I was offering. I'll send you an email.
