Need a good usable GMC stamped fleetside tailgate. Must be clean, and shipping/delivery is to Carson 90746. Anything around the West Coast?

Thanks dlblzr. At this stage I'll see if I can find a stamped one. If I can't find anything in the next few weeks I'll be a bit more flexible! Pick up is a little tricky...

If you pull the tailgate band it should be a stamped tailgate. That is unless someone changed it out for an aftermarket one. I would want to pull the band first though to make sure it says GMC, not Chevrolet. WES

My gate has the band on it, I am not sure what is underneath. I can pull the band and see if you are interested. You would just have to deal with the holes.

Thanks Jerry, I was going to PM you and ask if you could check under the band. I quess I should ask you how much first? Just after a straight origonal sort of a deal. Not after anything to fancy. Lets talk money first, then check under the band!

theres a super clean one I seen on craigslist, inland empire.

It is painted grey and is in highland close the the casino. He also had other parts but I remember seeing the gmc tailgate. Here is the exact pic.

It is not mine nor am I promoting it, just sharing what i seen. I am not going to provide you the link so I dont get yelled at by moderators.

Thanks slimone757. Thats probably the same one budnikguy was telling me about. Looks to be the earlier (small lettering) one as well. Someone will have the right one! I'll keep looking.

Here's a pic of a tailgate on a truck that I bought today. The outside has a couple minor dings and the inside looks to be nice. It has a plastic liner covering the inside. I was able to lift the liner and look. I didn't get time to remove the liner before pics. I will get more and better ones tomorrow. Plus pics of one more. The third gate is at work which would be Monday.

Sounds like I'm going to be spoilt for choice. Can you ease the band off enough to confirm it is stamped underneath?

I pulled the panel off the pictured gate and it is the small letter 67-68 type. I looked at the other 2 gates and I wouldn't want to ship them as they are not that nice. I have started a thread for this gate and a nice 69-72 GMC band. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=499268
