Shipping of bumpers - anyone done it?
----I'm talking standard GM bumpers not step style or custom ones. ------
The bumpers for square body trucks are big. I see people advertising all the time and most of the suppliers too for shipping these bumpers. Even though I know quite a bit about shipping. No matter how I measure this up it seems too big. you are SUPPOSED to imaginarily square off a box and if you do that allowing for the amount the ends wrap around, you wind up with a huge box. My question is’nt about a supplier who get special deals and discounts . I need this answered from a normal guy that has shipped one of these,. If you got away with it did you fudge some numbers . I fully understand the ‘girth’ limitations and I just don’t see how theses bumpers can make it???? IF I decide to start selling some of these bumpers I’ll be using Fed Ex, thanx for any help. Crossy

Well I just shipped a front bumper for a 1972 Chevy truck from the west coast to the east coast through UPS for $49.

And just so you know the buyer and I agreed on jus wrapping the bumper in bubble wrap and the a thick layer of shrink wrap. No box and the buyer said it arrived in great shape.
