New Build Thread AD on a C5 Vette

I thought I would start a decent build thread for this truck.

I started with This. My car hauler full of parts

and This C5 with a lite bump the the front

I narrowed the C5 frame and keep the C5 wheel base

First time for old sheet metal on new frame

I fabbed up a new dash, floor, firewall, and kick panels

Here's a shot of the new bed I made. 5'6'' x 49''

Re: New Build Thread AD on a C5 Vette

I really should have picked better sheet metal to cut my teeth on. It took me forever bumping dents out. I just didn't take the time to take pics of that process.

Here's a shot of the bed and tailgate with the tranny in the rear.

Here's a shot of the gate up closer

Hidden Latch I came up with

GMC Canyon 60/40 seat and a fabbed seat base.

Re: New Build Thread AD on a C5 Vette

I'ver got to spend the next day completing the cut n buff process. I just started with the 3M DA with 1200,1500, and 3000 grit. After thats done I'll get after the ECM wiring, power windows and door locks. I'll be glad to get this paint behind me so it will look like I've made some progress.

I'll try to stay up with the pics and post from here on out.
Thanks

Tuned55, Glad you stuck with it. The AD truck is way better than the corvette body. It should drive and handle great. Great job.
