Angry interior lights stuck on...

im not really sure where to go from here, the problem started while driving down the road.. i got home and unhooked both door switches and put in a new headlight switch in and still stuck on, 1985 gmc high sierra. any help would be very appreciated.

Did you rotate the switch knob to the right? Did you tape up the leads to the door switches?

The white wire to the interior lights is grounded somewhere. Does the truck have an alarm or the timed interior light shut off, if yes then there might be a bad relay.

thanks for the help guys, yes i turned the knob and also taped the ends... there is also no timed shutoff so i dont think that is the issue, i just ordered two new door switches and will install them in the morning, im going to also follow each wire out and see if i can find a short, i just didnt want to go through the work if there was something i was missing, thaanks again and ill let yall know how it goes.

well i found it and sure enough, the white wire running to the floor illumination light had a bare spot on it, i guess its just the way an old truck says it wants some new switches. lol thanks guys
