New from West Texas

Hello, 1966 Chevrolet Shortbed, originally had 283 and 3 on tree. Now has blown 350 and auto.

This was my Dad's pickup which he purchased new in 1966. He sold it about 10 years ago, the motor was blown shortly after and it sit for 8 years or so. My Dad passed away a year ago in September, it took me 4 months to convince the guy to sell me the truck back, but I got it.

I learned to drive in this truck and will now rebuild it with my 3 boys. I have added onto my shop to make room and installed a 2 post lift (try it I highly recomend it )

Plans are to take it down to frame, powder coat, air ride, LSx, manual transmission.......

Welcome from NW Washington. Good luck on the project. Nice shop, and cool airplanes on the wall.

That's my original shop space, it was harder to clean the old shop than build the new one

The planes are my oldest hobbie, I have been flying remote control since High School.
