67 c20custom low budget restoration
here is my project for this winter, a 1967 c20 custom with inline 6. I ride it for 2 years as is but now i want to make it look a little better. I want do drop it and make a frame off restoration but on a tight budget. since i blow the 292 this summer i will swap a 327 and a nv3500 5 speed i already have for better mileage. i remove the spring to drop it this week and i find it look great! can wait to work on it!
by the way i'm a french guy from québec so don't be surprise if what i write make no sense in english! |

Wow, that engine sure blew up. Sounds like you have some great plans for your truck. Keep up the work and take lots of pictures to show us.

Well, i'm back in quebec, feel good to be home! I work on the c20 for the past 2 evening and i remove the front clip and the doors and start removing the interior. I'm gonna have to fix some rust on the firewall but nothing too tragic.
I'll post some pics tomorow Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 67 c20custom low budget restoration
i will have to transfert the bracket on the diff for the trailing arm and the pan hard bar but and think it's worth it, the 4.56 was a real gas guzzler

Re: 67 c20custom low budget restoration
the front crossmember is now bolt to the frame and i have fit the motor mount bracket and try the engine on. I had to slightly modify the mount to fit the engine but it fit nicely now. I will now remove the engine and start to assemble it
