My 1970 C/10
I got this truck in 09 and my dad and I have restored it to be my daily driver when I turn 16. It started as a six cylinder truck with a three on the tree. We have since bought a donor truck and got the rebuilt 350, transmission, whole front suspension including disk brakes, and a positive traction rear end. I don't have many pictures of the restoration, because I used a disosable camera to take pictures of it.

Re: My 1970 C/10
Thanks guys. Does anyone know where I can find a good chrome gas cap that will fit? I ordered one from LMC but it doesn't fit and it has a ugly sticker in the middle of it.

Re: My 1970 C/10
Just a note - if you're having problems with the gas sloshing out around corners, it's probably not the cap, it's the tank - the lip wears over the years, and a new cap doesn't solve the problem. That's a very nice truck - and welcome to the boards!

Re: My 1970 C/10
Very nice! I would not go with the antique plates on a DD though. Just asking to get in trouble. The guidelines for those in Tenn are:
"A motor vehicle registered as an antique solely as a collector's item can only be used for participation in club activities, exhibits, tours, parades and similar uses; and which may be used for general transportation only on Saturday and Sunday." "Any person violating the provisions of this section, or operating an antique motor vehicle for general transportation purposes on a day other than Saturday or Sunday, shall forfeit such antique motor vehicle registration, shall be liable for the regular registration fee for that vehicle, and shall be barred from applying for or holding antique motor vehicle registration for five (5) years from the date of such violation."
