How does this look?

I just want a second opinion on the grill, not my truck.

Re: How does this look?

Not a fan of the blacked out section. One of the best things about the GMC grills is all the chrome

Re: How does this look?

Go with the base white or chrome. Don't like the blackout or any of the body color matches I've seen. Besides that is a lot of flat black to clean bugs off of.

Re: How does this look?

It looks like it needs a grille. The black just blanks it out. I think I'd either paint it a metallic grey, like rallye wheels or red to match the body.

IMHO the reason I like the GMC's are for the chrome grille! I would go and chrome that grille out!

Re: How does this look?

even tho you told me not to, I say that truck is really nice. I think if you like the grille I like the grill for you. Everyone has their thoughts on what makes the truck look good, that is why they make chocolate and vanillia ice dream. The grille can change the whole personallity of the truck . I think if chrome is not an option because of availibility or cost ,argent would be my next chioce followed by body color[but the monchrome thing is on its way out]. The black like stated above almost makes the grill disappear from the pic we are looking at. But like I said if you like it I like it for you it is an awesome truck im my opinion

Put 50 people in a room and ask them about the temperature, 25 will say it is too hot and 25 will say it is too cold!

(I like chrome too...!)

Yep, stick with the chrome. Polished up real good there is nothing like that big wall of chrome rolling down the road. I even have one in my living room Noxon 7 will shine it up real good!

Re: How does this look?

I agree with the chrome look of the GMC grilles. The black only looks good on the 71-72 inner grilles. IMO

I like Chrome, but that one that 67 cheby posted looks great, so I guess it depends on the truck.

Re: How does this look?

The black makes it look like there is no grille.id go charcole gray or aluminum with black fogged over it then clear over either option. You can always go back black

I agree, the Noxon works great on chrome, but don't use it on polished aluminum or stainless steel, you might as well use sand. It'll leave micro-scratches that are death on a mirror finish.
(I know we weren't talking about aluminum or stainless, just trying to save someone some grief.)
