WANTED: Complete rear axle for 1965 C-10

Hey All,
I'm looking for a complete 12 bolt rear axle assembly for my 1965 C-10 build. I know other years would work, I think I can use anything from 64-72, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Gear ratio is not important, but would be more interested in something that has 3:73 or lower, limited slip another plus. I can set-up freight.

Thanks!

Re: WANTED: Complete rear axle for 1965 C-10

I have a 12 bolt from a 1967 C10, needs rebuilding as the ring and pinion are well worn.
Has drums that look good and all the misc brake parts.

Do the Dana 60's have the pads for the trailing arms or leaf springs?

Chris... It just depends on the suspension I believe... The two I have are for leaf setups... the one I am getting monday is for rear coil springs

The style I would need would be for the trailing arms. Let me know the condition of the one you get on Monday.

Re: WANTED: Complete rear axle for 1965 C-10

My rear end is a trailing arm, 6 lug, needs a new ring and pinion. Has emergency brake cables, drums and all the misc brake parts. The drums are rusty so I don't know if they are in spec.

$200 + freight.

Re: WANTED: Complete rear axle for 1965 C-10

If the others do not work out and you can ship, I have a 6 lug, coil spring susp. 1968 C10 12 bolt with 3.73 gear ratio. It is an open trac. I pulled it from my truck that I have drove for 20 years and had 137,000 miles on it. The brakes are good. I removed it to install a 72 5 lug rear end because I went to disc brakes. Thanks

The case looks good.....How do the gears look? Would it need new gears?

I do not want to step infront of the other guys but if it gets to me I can take pictures with the rear cover off. It is out of my personal truck that I have owned since 1990 and put 37,000 miles on with out trouble (it has a total of 137,000 miles on it). I put new wheel cylinders on it 6 months before I pulled it out of the truck and the shoes looked good. I have stored it inside since I removed it a year ago. The metal lines have been cut but the parking brake cables are good. Thanks
