gauge cluster wiring pin removal

ok, one more question and then I'll go away.

I have to rearrange a few gauge cluster pins in the harness to accommodate a different gauge cluster. Anyone know how to remove the wires (pins) from the gauge clip ghat plugs in the back of the cluster?

Thank you Thank you Thank you.

The connection pins have a little hook that grabs on to the plastic, I pushed the hook back a little with a needle. Then carefully wiggled them out. Canīt remember if they go back towards the cables or forward.

Re: gauge cluster wiring pin removal

You can buy a specialty tool for that as well (it's also an excuse to buy tools....). I have also used a straightened out small paper clip. Basically push the wire up into the connector, release the tab with the tool of your choice, and pull the wire back.

p.s.- stay as long as you like. No need to go anywhere.
