I am looking for the cast fitting that bolts into the block on a 6 cylinder engine. I actually need this for my car but I believe they are more common on the trucks. I believe they are found on 1960, 1961, and 1962 6 cylinder engines with the external oil filter. I am trying to do a mostly correct restoration so I would like to find the factory version of this. Some of these have a part number on them and some do not. I would actually like to find a couple of these so if you have one, please send me a PM with cost and postage. Thanks

I will look on the stuff around the scrap yard..... we get dozens of old cars and trucks a day so Iam sure I can snag some pretty quick

Hey jlmerie, that's 1/8" pipe correct? I've got a couple of sources for "old" fittings if you're still looking....

Thanks, I had not checked this thread for a while. This is a factory fitting. I have had several people assure me they have a fitting for it, but can never find the right fitting. I would also prefer one that has the GM part number on it. As I said in the original post, these were commonly found on trucks that had an external oil filter housing in 1960,1961, 1962, Thanks for looking.
