C20 Clutch Linkage Q?

I just installed a 4 speed in my C20 and the pivot linkage that connects between the block and frame does not line up. There is a stud that threads into the block above the oil filter which locates the pivot about 2 inches behind the bracket on the frame. The bracket on the frame can only be mounted in one position, so I am thinking there must be an additional bracket that goes on the block to move the ball stud forward.

Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

Sb V8? Yes there is a bracket that bolts to the block with 2 bolts, & the pivot ball is welded to the bracket between the bolt holes. crazyL

Didn't we take that one off the engine when you picked up the 4speed? That should be the piece you need, isn't it? If we didn't take it off then it is still on that engine and still sitting in the back corner of the machine shed behind the 32' boat. I will have to take a peek for you.
