A couple of new pictures

Moved the truck out of its tarp garage today as we need to take the garage down so it can move with us when we move house this coming wednesday. I took the opportunity to give the camper shell I recently fitted to the bed a good clean up and take a few pictures. I think she looks pretty good from 20 foot! The back is full of junk for the move, two vintage garage shelving/drawer units for my new garage, the aluminium frame of our greenhouse, the benches from the greenhouse and two spare wheels/tyres.

She looks great Phill, I love how much stuff you can get in back of a LB and close everything up without it hanging out the tailgate....where are you moving to...France?

Re: A couple of new pictures

Thanks, sadly not France but rural Shropshire which will still be a complete change from where we are now. That is if the buyer of ours doesn't make it all go wrong. We were supposed to exchange contracts on Thursday, the buyer is out of the country, his solicitor is on holiday and the junior he left behind doesn't seem to know her backside from her elbow and told our solicitor that there was a small issue thats come up and "I know its not ideal but we won't be able to resolve this until I've spoken to the client on Monday" too right it's not ideal as we have pickfords coming in on Monday to start packing and loading everything up and tomorrow I'm driving down to the new place with my brother-in-law in his Toyota Dyna pickup and me in my the wifes X-Trail with a trailer full of ride on mower, the kids playhouse on the back of my BIL's truck along with a load of garden and garage stuff that pickfords won't shift. Everything is set for wednesday, phones get cut off, loads of stuff switches over to the new house etc etc. Talk about stressed out!

Shame the truck isn't road legal yet, she's making the journey on the back of a flatbed, at least then I'll have a decent sized garage that she might just fit in if theres enough height clearance through the door.

Re: A couple of new pictures

Shame the Trucks not legal yet...that bigger garage may just have all the extra space used up with household junk if your not carefull mate get it in there quick....good luck with the move mate, and yes, it is one of the most stressfull things.
Nice to see new pics of the Truck though.

Re: A couple of new pictures

You guys with our style trucks must really get the looks when out driving. There cant be too many of you around over there.

That camper shell sure turned out nice. I didn't realize your truck wasn't road worthy. Must have missed a thread somewhere.

That's one of the best parts of driving a Yank over here Mark, the looks....like you just landed from planet cool. plenty of classic American motors here, but 67-72's are very rare.

Re: A couple of new pictures

And then my daily driver Blazer popped over for a chat, here's my little corner of America!

Tarp garage is down, you can see the poles next to the truck, my brother-in-law went off with his truck looking like the beverly hillbillies with my kids complete wooden playhouse on the back along with a load of other garden stuff. My wifes car has all the glass from the greenhouse in it (damn stuff, cut two fingers, one on the glass and one on a glazed plantpot that exploded when I picked it up) and a load of crates of oil, paint etc from the garage that the movers won't touch. Off early doors tomorrow to get it moved over and then back to finish off packing up the garage.

Re: A couple of new pictures

Yep, right hand drive, 4x4 with a manual transmission, GM briefly dabbled with selling them here for a couple of years around 2000/2001 before they decided to buy Daewoo and sell rebranded korean tat here instead.

Re: A couple of new pictures

Sorry, its just the company name of the biggest and oldest removals company in the UK, you know, a load of guys turn up in a big truck and move all your furniture etc to your new house. Its going to take them two and a half days to pack everything in boxes and then we move and then another day to unload it all into the new house. We then get to unpack it all and find homes for everything. At the moment I'm running on caffeine and sugar, supplemented by the odd beer in the evening trying to get everything ready for the move and now the buyer of our house is messing us around a little adding even more stress. We're moving about 100 miles away so new school for the kids and a complete fresh start. Moving into a 400 year old farmhouse in the countryside with about an acre of land, garage, loads of other outbuildings including one with a pool table and small bar, room for a small orchard and big veg garden and for me to start brewing my own beer!
