can somebody measure their bumper bracket for me?

I want to build bumper brackets for my fleetside(sport bumper). I need to know the length of the inner bracket and how far it sticks out from the frame. I don't have a tailgate yet, and I don't want to bolt the bumper up, and have it not clear the t-gate. also, since I have some homemade step bumper on it now, I don't know exactly where the sport bumper should be positioned

I know it would be easier just to buy the brackets, but up here they're about $100(cdn)....so why not build them and save a boat load of money too! Thanks guys......I hope you can help...otherwise i'll have to wing it

Jason

Talking

If you will let me know whether it is a (2) wheel drive or (4) wheel drive, I can measure either for you.

sorry, it's the rear brackets for a 4wd.

I didn't realize there was a difference between 2 and 4wd bumper brackets?

I sent a set off to a manufacturer to have them reproduced, so hopefully we will have them in a couple of months. I sent off a set of every 4X4 bumper brackets made. (67-70 chev, 67-72 GMC, 71-72 Chevy, fronts . and the rears). WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

from the back hole on the frame, the middle ones are 9 1/2'' and the out ones are 14 1/2'' thats from the hole in the frame to the hole in the bumper, obvoiusly the bracket has to be a like longer to make your bents, I've seen guys make theses them self, be careful when you tighten down the bumper bolts you don't flatten the bumper to the flat bracket you make, the correct brackets have a slight curve to match the bumper, so don't over tighten if your bracket doesn't match the bumper properly

Well I took the old bumper off but I don't know if the holes in the frame are in the right place??? should the proper brakets be a direct bolt-in?
This is what my frame looks like:

Do I use the hole closest to the end and drill new holes for the back? on mine (as you can see) the hole at the rear is high than the front one

Mine looked like that too, I measures from the back hole, ok lets forget about the hole on the frame in case they are differant, from the very back of the frame to the inside of the bumper it's 7 1/2''. the bumper mounted it's 5/8'' below the tailgate and about 1/2'' from the body right below the signal light
