dash knobs

I was wondering what knobs were on the radio of the 67. Were they the small knobs like on the instrument cluster and what was the cigarette lighter knob like? I know it may not be important but I have been collecting the smaller knobs to redo my dash and I want things to be right. Every parts catalog and magazine always has the larger or stainless centered large knobs in the pictures. Anyone have a stock 67 dash to let me know?

Thanks, Dave

67 knobs are smaller,.. all of them are, radio to cigarette.. there is a deluxe version also with chrome/stainless centers.

Yeah the stainless center are the same sizes even if the two pics make them look a little different. The 67 knobs are smaller diameter and are more curved shaped on the edges and they have a texture groove set up on the side.

There are several things unique to 67 cabs/interiors other than the small back window that are one-year only items. If the weather warms up I'll try and do a photo shoot of these items for comparison purposes.

The first set of knobs Rod pictured are 67's and the edges are knurled, which is the correct term for the design, I believe.

To answer Dave's question, yes the radio knobs are the same size and look as the wiper, lights, choke, and cig lighter knobs.

I'm a bit of a 67 aficionado and I believe if you have a 67, keeping these 67-only distinctions are a must.

You people have to understand something about me.. Im a truckaholic...lol... I see these trucks in my sleep. Many of us are truckaholics...lol, that's when why we come up with what we think is common knowledge it's surprising sometimes to me that people here are awakened with new knowledge.... not thats there is anything wrong with that.. thats part of my purpose here being an administrator. I meet people with these trucks and sometimes the rambling goes on for hours. It's all good. Now if I only could make money off of all this...lol.

Now myself I like the look of the 67 knobs better than the 68-72. I kinda like the 67 only unique seat belts too as well as the 67 only wing window levers 67-68 buckets, 67-68 steering wheels and deluxe horn button.. 67-69 speedwarnings... good things happened in 67.

Thanks

Thanks for the info and opinions. I too have scrounged for the past two years looking for the small knobs. The ones I have don't have metal centers but my truck was bare bones off the lot anyway. I too feel that the small knobs make my truck unique and even if my wife says no one will know the wiser, I will. I have enough knobs to do the whole dash, radio and cigarette lighter now and will use them when I do the redo this spring. Thanks again!

Dave

67

What's the best way to remve the deluxe knobs off of 67 stuff? I have the choke/throttle cable and the knob is on there pretty tight, don't want to break it.
