78 K-10 in So. N.J. , $2500

1978 Chevy pick up. ½ ton 4X4, 8 foot bed., I helped a past friend rebuild this
truck about 8 years ago from several parts trucks and have no idea of true mileage because dash & several other things were changed but title reads 187,000 miles.
DRIVETRAIN= Engine is a base model, crate 350 from GM and was installed in
97 and has appx. 40K on it . runs smooth with Edelbrock aluminum intake & carb. Has
headers on it with an expensive 3" exhaust system and good, welded style
mufflers.TRANS is a TH350 that was redone at same time as engine with HD clutches
and Shift kit. Has vintage 10" aluminum slots with nice BFG 33's. 4"
spring lift of unknown brand. Rears are unknown but feel like
3.73... It does have the gear driven 205 cast iron transfercase.
BODY= this truck was redone with mostly aftermarket sheetmetal parts appx 8
years ago. It is by no means intended to be a show truck but the body is
still straight and no rust holes or blisters except for front edge of hood .(pic) I remember bed being from a nice 85.
It looks darn good for the price range it is in. the paint faded and has
plenty of road wear, but overall still decent. All glass is good and crack
free. They still make those chrome hood shields that would cover the bubbles across front. bed has plastic bedliner and silverado trim plate on tailgate.
INTERIOR= is a mix of blue & black colors and has 81-up style Silverado door panels.
Seat is typical of era, kinda clapped out where you sit and has cheap
'western' seat cover. Tilt column is tight. It has no A/C or power
options.
Known problems = all through this rough winter we had the 4WD worked fine but wore out the
right side front knuckle(U-joint) so that needs replacing. It clicks loudly
now when in 4WD. CD radio comes on but no sound probably just bad speakers.
Gas gauge reads OK down to ½ tank then stops ,typical gas gauge problems . I
have an extra gauge or two here that you are welcome to. aftermarket Tach in dash does
not work. (wires not hooked??). minor ,small hole in left side floor, easy fix
otherwise solid, all floor supports good. Mentioned this because some states
like PA. Require NO holes for inspection.
I have been hobbying at these year trucks for 15+ years. This would be an
easy one to make into a more expensive truck for me with the quality of the drivetrain, but too many projects here and
this one is whole & worthy of running right now. I do have some spare
parts that could help you achieve what your goal is for it . price
includes just what is here though.
I have a later model blue cloth seat and gray buckets/console I have factory tach dashes and upgrade gauge bezels offering to anyone who buys it . the right color for you Cowboy fans also. geeez.

LOCATION= Pennsville, N.J. easy access from NJ turnpike Exit #1, Rt.295 or Rt. 40. 30 minutes south of Philadelphia airport at base of Delaware Memorial Bridge. I have a car trailer and SOME time and might help with delivery AFTER truck is paid for. I'm not posting a bunch of pics here. I can Email them from the Email address attached.
$2500.00 CASH ONLY. Call 856-678-7883 before 9 pm EST or Email me at all4trux@snip.net WITH proper subject title or message will get deleted. I have a few more pics and even close-ups of affected areas. thanx for the reply, DAVE.
