converting to a late model hood latch

I know this has been discussed many times before but I'd like to add a hood release inside the cab that needs to be pulled before I or some cheap theif can raise my hood......or competition lol, but I'd like to keep my stock latch, now if that cant be rigged up I have no problem robbing an entire setup off of something, plenty of cars trucks etc at my hands, any good advice on whats cars to look at and how to modify my original latch?

Re: converting to a late model hood latch

ya cause opening up the vent window then the door and then pulling the release might stop them..
try two pieces of chain and a padlock at the latch. easy, quick and it works..

Re: converting to a late model hood latch

I see your point, broke into a few junkyard trucks that way, not really wanting to do this for sake of im afraid my trucks gonna get stolen but because having that handle isnt normally seen on our trucks, i like bein different and yeah y not add some security along with "cool stuff" especially when my boss will let me take what parts i need for free
